RECOUNT WRITING

Of late room 4 have been writing recounts about various experiences that they have had. The first recount they wrote was about a disgusting food experience. Some of the more unique recounts included gobbling down pig's brains and spider eggs!

The Day I Ate Capsicum

It was dinner time at my house with my mum, dad and sister Isla.

There was a piece of capsicum and a piece of onion on my plate. My sister said I could close my eyes and she would lead my fork to the onion. But she led my fork to the capsicum.

It tasted good and I felt happy that I tasted a new food.

Swimming Sports Competition

Today Tahunanui School held its annual swimming sports competition in the school pool. Nearly all the students in room 4 competed in various events such as the cork scramble, flutter board width races and the length races.
